• color - green ("zeonui");


• person - Grandpa ("deda") or Mark G. ("Mark") - it's a tie, I think;


• word - "no" ("HET!");


• food - lasagna ("zanya") and sushi ("sysi");


• drink - apple juice ("sok", until 2 days ago "kok");


• activity - playing ("igat'"); museum ("zei"); park ("goka")


• animal - cow ("kova"); elephant ("son") and Chester;


• movie - "Wall-e" (Vanya says "Eva") and "Cars" ("Kil'ki") and "The Tale of Despereux" ("Muki");


• toy - Wedgets.

Oh, also, the longest sentence so far - "Idet sil'nui dozhd', tam!"

"Obama"

Well, we all tried. Tried to get Ivan to say "Obama" or, at least, "Bama" on this historic day.

No such luck. Ivan continued to insist on either "mama" or "baba".

But I know what he meant to say - "Congratulations, Mr. President!"
